Crazy June Bug Events

It is summertime here in Vienna and the list of things to do is endless. I got to go on small trip with my Uncle Roland and Tita Ruth to Lower Austria to visit a cool exhibit on the ties between the Czech Republic and Austria. They had the exhibit separated in three different towns in Austria, close to the Czech Republic border: Horn, Raabs and Telc. The landscape was beautiful and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, we were only able to make it to two of the places. We also bumped into Tita Ruth's friend Angie and her husband while we were there making it an even cool trip because Angie's husband showed us one of the many bridges that connect Austria to Czech Republic. Being at two places at once . . . nice!

LOWER AUSTRIA TRIP

On a random day, Noura and I decided to check out a capoeira demonstration/workshop where capoeiristas from Brasil and around Austria came to show off their moves. It was so exciting and made me want to go into the circle and play with them. Except I was in jeans, which is not comfortable when pulling off those capoeira moves. The skills were so awesome and the people were really good. Noura and I then decided to go to check out Roter Engel, where her birthday party was going to be held. In front of the bar, Brasilian Samba dancers and drummers were entertaining the crowd. So awesome!

BRASILIAN DAY

In late June, the Italians came back into town for Reunion Weekend. It was also my Vienna best friend Noura's birthday AND Donauinselfest. As we said, the boys were back in town, fun adventures are bound to happen. Sadly, our two other Goodfellas Justin and Massimo couldn't make it but two out of four is better than nothing, huh? Vittorio and Valerio came, along with our Italian angels Elena and Alessandra. Also, my other Vienna best friend Jas's Newcastle girls Kerry and Kat came to visit Vienna for the first time. I'll let the photos show you rather than me telling you:

Vienna: A Worldy Place to meet Friends

I have met so many friends here in Vienna while I was in the Vienna International Center. It amazes me that although we got to hang out for a short time we all somehow became close. From Brasil to Germany to Italy and even Greece, I consider myself lucky meet many multi-ethinic/ multi-national people in a place like Vienna.
